What is a Building Designer?
The technical definition of a Building Designer is a person who has formal qualifications in the design and development of construction drawings for low to high rise buildings.
Our definition of a Building Designer is a team player who has not only the formal qualifications but a passion for designing places and environments in the built environment for our amazing clients to call home; to live, interact, work and play.

Certainly for me, as a designer, the most rewarding experience is seeing your first sketch transform into your clients home! I’ve been lucky enough to experience that now for the last 28 years as the senior building designer for Jazz Designs. And I can tell you the thrill never fades. Having the privilege of sitting down with a client and sketching a collaboration of ideas on paper, watching the excitement when your client realises that their dreams and ideas are starting to take on a true form is an amazing experience. Knowing that those pencil marks on which was a blank sheet of paper will become a someone’s home! A place to live, to love, to share experiences – magic!
